GuestKie SMS Opt-In

GuestKie sends stay-related text messages to vacation-rental guests on behalf of their property host: guest-registration reminders, check-in instructions, access details, security-hold notifications, and two-way replies with the host. Guests opt in by providing their mobile number and checking the SMS consent box during guest registration, as shown below. Consent is not a condition of booking.

Participating host businesses

Every text message a guest receives is sent by their host’s own registered business via the GuestKie platform — GuestKie is the messaging platform, not the sender a guest sees. Each participating host registers their business with our SMS carrier before any texts go out under that host’s name.

GuestKie sends stay-related texts on behalf of each host’s own registered business. The verified host businesses currently participating in GuestKie’s text-messaging program are:

The opt-in form guests see

This is the phone number field and consent checkbox from the GuestKie guest registration form (reached from the reservation’s registration link — see “How group members are invited” below):

(555) 555-1234
I agree to receive text messages from GuestKie on behalf of my host about my stay (registration links, check-in instructions, and stay notifications).

Consent is optional and not a condition of your stay. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We will not share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

The checkbox is optional and unchecked by default — guests can complete registration without opting in.

How group members are invited

The reservation holder receives a single, reservation-specific registration link through their booking platform’s message thread (for example, Airbnb or Vrbo messaging). The holder then invites the other members of their group by email through GuestKie, or shares the registration link with them directly. Each guest registers individually, and no guest is ever sent a text message by GuestKie before they have personally opted in by checking the consent box on their own registration.

Noise monitoring alerts (not sent by GuestKie)

The registration form also shows a collapsible “Noise Monitoring Notice” for properties with noise monitoring. It reads:

Important Notice: Our property is equipped with a noise level monitoring system to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests and neighbors. If noise levels exceed the property’s limits during your stay, the property’s third-party noise monitoring service (such as Minut, NoiseAware, or Alertify) may contact you directly by text message or phone call at the phone number you provide, from its own phone numbers, independently of GuestKie. Those alerts come from the monitoring provider, not GuestKie, and are separate from your GuestKie text-message preference above — that preference does not affect them, and replying STOP to any GuestKie text always stops texts from GuestKie.

Those alerts originate from the third-party monitoring platform on its own numbers — they are not part of the GuestKie messaging program described on this page. GuestKie's STOP handling is unconditional for GuestKie-sent texts. This notice wording is platform-controlled: hosts may append a property-specific note below it (such as a local ordinance citation), but cannot edit or replace the notice itself.
